Freelance Dance Caller

I am Tricia Matthew, a freelance dance caller working in the British Isles.  Freelance means I am not attached to any one band, I can be booked as a caller by yourself or by a band.  Alternatively if there is a problem getting a band I may be able to organise this too.  If you have an idea of what sort of band you would like for your Big Day there are many to choose from.   The dances can be as simple or as complicated as you like.  So if your guests are dancers, I'm sure I can find something for everyone from beginners to the more experiences dancers. As a caller I can call the traditional ceilidh dances but can also introduce you to simply but not so often seen Old Time Dances.   So far to my credit I was the choreographer for the Debt Collector which starred Billy Connelly and Francesca Anis, I have a very successful ceilidh and old time dance class in Glasgow, and have been dance calling now for approximately 10 years.  I have worked with various Dance Bands from the most traditional musicians as John Carmichael and Jim Johnstone to the more contemporary dance bands such as Big Squeeze and Annasach.  Recently I have also started singing and am at present putting together a band which will cover anyone's tastes.
