Music To Make Your Feet Grin.... Five Minutes To Midnight are a hard-hitting industrial strength ceilidh-band purveying rugged barn-rock for all occasions - weddings, sports clubs, PTA's, colleges and universities, etc. The music is based on traditional English, Irish, Scottish jigs, reels, hornpipes, rants, etc., although we have been known to stray into Cajun and even Turkish traditions. |
The band is a 6-piece line up which consists of: melodeon / cittern; drums; bass; keyboards; guitar / banjo. Our sound engineer ensures a perfect sonic mix, and our comprehensive sound system is suitable for venues of all sizes. Also - of course, we provide a caller - suitable for all dancers - from novice dancers to morris dancers.

Warwickshire based and usually play around the Midlands (of
England).
• To facilitate the setting up of the sound equipment it is essential that access to the venue be available at least one hour before the audience is admitted.
• A stage or platform should be provided by the organiser if possible. This is not essential but it does enhance both sound and presentation qualities.
• The area allocated to the band should be at least 20 feet by 10 feet. A table/area should be allocated for sound mixing equipment along the side of the function room.
• Mains electricity supply must be available at the stage. This must be at least 13 Amps supply and preferably two outlets allowing 2 x 13 Amps supply.
• Barns should be thoroughly cleaned and
hosed out to reduce dust to an absolute minimum. This is
because of the amount of electronic equipment used by the band,
and also because of the increasing incidence of hay-fever and
asthma (in the band and the audience!).
