The Odyssey String Quartet was formed in the Spring of 1995. The Quartet has worked with many of the country's leading chamber music artists including Emanuel Hurwitz, Raphael Wallfisch, Michael Hurwitz and members of the Alberni and Endellion Quartets. Their wise ranging repertoire allows them the versatility to meet the
needs of each individual client bringing a level of care, professionalism and "joie de vivre" that is sure to delight.
London-based, Gloucestershire, Surrey. Repertoire is large and variable and we are willing to add arrangements of pieces on request (an arrangement charge may be administered for this if it is not already for 4tet) Popular Classics such as Eine Kleine, Mozart Divirtimenti, Pachelbel's Canon and Bach Airs form our light classics repertoire. 1.    "ayres & graces" - wandering minstrels in period costume performing songs and tunes from the 14thc to modern day.  Added colour for your special day with traditional melodies elegantly performed on period and modern instruments - cittern, hurdy-gurdy, recorders, crumhorn, guitar and vocals.
Beautiful music to hightlight the poignancy of your ceremony, to entertain during the taking of the official photographs, to create a relaxed atmosphere for your wedding breakfast and to encourage happy celebrations at your reception.  "ayres & graces" for the grandest to the most intimate formal or informal wedding in a marquee, hotel or castle, minstrels gallery, garden or on a village green; on a summer's eve, spring morn or a crisp winter's day. Classical
2.    "Poco Picante" - classical favourites and popular melodies performed on piano, 'cello, flute, wind synth, sax and accordion.  Their music is romantic and atmospheric making it ideally suited for ambient background music, however, as their name suggests, a little "spice" is woven into the programme adding a refreshing light feel to the performance.  Choose from a wide repertoire of favourite wedding music, light classics, operatic and musical pieces, TV and film themes and folk/trad/jazz extras!  "poco picante" are also available as a trio or quartet with the addition of violin, quitar or double-bass. 3.    "Messanza" - mixing old with new this duo create a unique cross-over between folk and classical, early and modern.  Performing on period instruments hurdy-gurdy, cittern and recorders and modern instruments wind synth and guitar "messanza" can provide a varied and interesting programme of songs and tunes for all stages of a wedding day.  From gentle background music through stirring vocals and instrumental pieces they will prepare a programme to complement the ambience of your chosen venue and the style of your special day. 1.    "BonneBouche" - a quartet or quintet of fine musicians and vocalisits offering the best in music for barn dance / ceilidhs for weddings.  Dance music specialists for wedding receptions "bonnebouche" perform on fiddle, keyboard, wind synth, guitar, cittern, hurdy-gurdy, bass, flute, drums and more!   Unusual arrangements of traditional (and not so traditional!) dance music, french folk music, traditional country tunes of the British Isles, mediaeval and early music and self-penned compositions, folk ballads, love songs, rousing chorus songs and tunes mellow to wild!  "bonnebouche" a concert and dance band with caller that really know how to create a fun atmosphere for your celebrations. BAND
1.    "Magpie Lane" - a six piece traditional folk band that is widely acclaimed for it's interpretation of traditional English music.  The sound of this group is unmistakably English with their line-up based around a nineteenth century village band with fiddle, 'cello, concertina, whistles and percussion to the fore and guitar, bouzouki, melodeon, hurdy-gurdy, pipe and tabour, harmonium, and bass all playing a part too.  The group's instrumental prowess is matched, if not surpassed, by its vocal strength. All the members sing and the powerful harmonies are one of the band's trademarks.  "Magpie Lane" are the  perfect choice for bringing the beauty of the English Countryside to your special day in the songs and tunes of The British Isles.

The Matchless Ceilidh Band Gloucestershire/Worsester/Herefordshire.
The band perform regularly at ceilidhs, barn dances, and weddings in the Glos Hereford & Worcs area, working mostly with caller Gerald Tween, a long standing member of Lassington Oak MM, and guest caller Karen Burridge, a dancer with England's Glory LM. Ask for # 590
The music we play is mostly English, with a few American, Scottish and Irish tunes, and plenty of polkas and hornpipes. We have been described as a Barn Dance Band with an E-ceilidh Band inside trying to get out!).
England's Glory Ladies Morris were formed in 1973, and were one of the first three women's morris sides of the the revival in the UK (and therefore in the world!) They were founder members of the Women's Morris Federation, which later became the Morris Federation, one of the three umbrella organisations for morris dancing in the UK. Ask for # 590
