We play styles of music ranging from the 16th century, through the classical eras into ragtime, trad jazz, Gershwin, show music and light popular music. Our repertoire is 300+ and could sustain an engagement of some considerable length if required. We also have the flexibility of repertoire to enable us to put on concerts of specialised or varied content. We are purely acoustic and consist of one soprano sax, an alto sax, a tenor sax and a baritone sax. You could say that we are the saxophone equivelant of a string quartet. We also play clarinet (3 Bb's and a bass) for a quieter mood. We will travel anywhere to play, are based in Surrey and Hampshire.

Why the name? Both the music and the musicians come from the two sides of the Atlantic, and as well as playing the traditional tunes and songs of Ireland and Scotland, Atlantic Bridge has a vast store of Canadian Celtic tunes, which have their own style and energy. Their music remains true to its roots, preserving the emotions inherent in the tradition tunes, but it also combines the excitement of an up-beat accompaniment with an informal and good-humoured performance. Atlantic Bridge toured England and Wales supporting Cape Breton fiddler, Jerry Holland, on his 1999 concert tour, and have many years of experience playing at arts centres, theatres and concert halls, festivals and open-air events, clubs, pubs, parties and weddings.

Stringendo string quartet was formed ten years ago by Alison Beatty, Elizabeth Sharp, Caroline Barnes and Michael Belinfante. They were all friends playing as freelance musicians in London. Since then the quartet has performed in all the major venues in Kent and are recommended by the most prestigious establishments e.g Eastwell Manor, Leeds Castle, Chilston Park and Howfield Manor, to name just a few. They have played to many important people such as Princess Diana, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
