Sounds of Manhattan in the U.K.
Manhattan Sound is an eighteen piece big band based near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England since 1972. Founded by the late Joe Castle saxophonist, band manager, and band leader. Performing around the Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax & Manchester areas, and further afield on several occasions.
In the past Manhattan Sound has made appearances on BBC Radio Leeds, and was chosen to accompany both Don Lusher (trombone) & Kenny Baker (trumpet) for concerts hosted by the Huddersfield Big Band Society (HUBBS).
Specialising in music of the swing era, adaptable to various engagements: concert, dance, wedding reception, anniversary party, theme night or any other function where a big band would enhance the occasion.

Areas covered : West Yorkshire, Manchester (Further afield, subject to additional charges, travel expenses etc.

Ballads & vocal charts of : Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Matt Monroe etc.
