Baroque Brass Ensemble ~ The QuintEssential Sackbut and Cornett Ensemble has been working for approx. seven years now as a recital group and also providing background music and party music for most occassions. We even do medieval costume! Although London based, we are now in our third year as resident brass players at Norwich Cathedral and have provided coronation-style entrance music and fanfares for some of their most prestigious events. We can do both trumpet fanfare/processional music and receptions, providing class and atmosphere. Our working range - the Home counties, then as far up as Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, Oxfordshire. Our fee, for five period instrument musicians is £600 UKP., which includes travelling within these counties, additional travelling expences required when further afield.
Personally, I could offer a trumpet & organ option for the wedding site. Myself and Colm Carey would work in the same areas for £300 UKP., again including travelling, additional travelling expences required when further afield. Classical
2.    "Poco Picante" - classical favourites and popular melodies performed on piano, 'cello, flute, wind synth, sax and accordion. Their music is romantic and atmospheric making it ideally suited for ambient background music, however, as their name suggests, a little "spice" is woven into the programme adding a refreshing light feel to the performance. Choose from a wide repertoire of favourite wedding music, light classics, operatic and musical pieces, TV and film themes and folk/trad/jazz extras! 3.    "Messanza" - mixing old with new this duo create a unique cross-over between folk and classical, early and modern. Performing on period instruments hurdy-gurdy, cittern and recorders and modern instruments wind synth and guitar "messanza" can provide a varied and interesting programme of songs and tunes for all stages of a wedding day. From gentle background music through stirring vocals and instrumental pieces they will prepare a programme to complement the ambience of your chosen venue and the style of your special day. 1.    "Magpie Lane" - a six piece traditional folk band that is widely acclaimed for it's interpretation of traditional English music. The sound of this group is unmistakably English with their line-up based around a nineteenth century village band with fiddle, 'cello, concertina, whistles and percussion to the fore and guitar, bouzouki, melodeon, hurdy-gurdy, pipe and tabour, harmonium, and bass all playing a part too. The group's instrumental prowess is matched, if not surpassed, by its vocal strength. All the members sing and the powerful harmonies are one of the band's trademarks. Atlantic Bridge
Why the name? Both the music and the musicians come from the two sides of the Atlantic, and as well as playing the traditional tunes and songs of Ireland and Scotland, Atlantic Bridge has a vast store of Canadian Celtic tunes, which have their own style and energy. Their music remains true to its roots, preserving the emotions inherent in the tradition tunes, but it also combines the excitement of an up-beat accompaniment with an informal and good-humoured performance. Atlantic Bridge toured England and Wales supporting Cape Breton fiddler, Jerry Holland, on his 1999 concert tour, and have many years of experience playing at arts centres, theatres and concert halls, festivals and open-air events, clubs, pubs, parties and weddings.
