The Gershwin Gang is fast becoming one of the country's leading society jazz trios. The band's reputation has spread fast. In May, they provided entertainment in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen, at The Royal Windsor Horse Show. Other 1999 highlights include Ascot, 'The Ritz' Hotel, and the Royal Lancashire Show as well as numerous private and corporate functions from London to Edinburgh. Subscribing to the principle that the old songs really are the best, the Manhattan-style trio specialises in the well-known jazz songs written by the Gershwin brothers, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and others, and made popular by Fred Astaire, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Sinatra.
