STANDING ROOM ONLY

Hi To You All,

I run and am in a well established band called
STANDING ROOM ONLY and we are interested in further wedding or other function work.

We are all very experienced and we are now moving up to better work including venues such as Champney's and Brocket Hall.

We cover most of the GREAT music from the 60's to the 90's----

The Beatles and Stones etc through to Oasis and Crowded House.

We have recently been joined by two great female vocalists, "Caz" and "Bluebelle" and our set lists are destined to expand and become far more varied.

Most of our gigs are in the London/Bucks/Beds area but we are quite happy to travel for the right gigs.

Terry Lundberg

STANDING ROOM ONLY

Minimum fee for a wedding (as a six piece band) is £1000 UKP.
This includes lights and music for the interlude so no need to book a disco as well.

About the Band

SRO came together by various means---contacts, ads etc.--and the present line-up have been together since the summer of 1999; all members of the share a similar taste in music (excellent thereof!) and have a combined experience of gigging in similar bands totalling more years than they dare admit !

TERRY LUNDBERG
(Guitar - Vocals - Manager)

For about 5 years, up to February 1995, Terry was playing guitar with "The Lost Boys", a band based largely in the Midlands although, due to local connections, many gigs were played in locations in and around Hertfordshire. To avoid travelling to and from the Midlands each weekend (old age!!), he decided to start a local band.

Terry also occasionally likes a blow on his harmonica but, to date, the rest of the band refuse to allow his banjo on stage!

DEREK TOUGH
(Lead Guitar/Lead vocal)

Derek began his musical career at birth. His parents were both professional performers; mother a singer and father an impressionist/comedian who achieved chart success in 1976 with "King of the Cops" on which Derek played bass and rhythm guitar. Several appearances on television and radio followed with Derek playing guitar to both parents in cabaret, working with international artistes such as Billy Fury, Anita Harris, Joe Brown, Roy Castle, Jack Douglas, Mike & Bernie Winters, Freddie Starr and many more.

Derek has performed in several bands, more notably "Rox" (later "Dance Dance") who supported Thin Lizzie, Talk Talk and Gary Moore. More recently, Derek has been composing music with writing partner John Rand, for film and television. To date he has penned the music for two short films and is currently working on a feature length movie.

Derek is the musical director of Standing Room Only and plays both guitar and keyboards together with singing lead vocals on many of the band's repertoire. Derek is the only musician in the world who can exercise all of these talents at the same time!

ALAN JAMES (Bass/Vocals)

Alan's first known public performance was at school with a rendition on guitar of "Puff the Magic Dragon. This was Alan's "unplugged" period as he didn't have an amplifier. Shortly afterwards he graduated to bass, much to the delight of his neighbours. In the early 70s he played in a heavy metal band and is remembered at that time for his legendary performances both on stage and in the back of the van after the gigs. His musical career continued, encompassing many different styles and groups.
Alan is an aficionado of lager, floral language and flatulence and has been a member of SRO since its formation. His ambition is to play with the Corrs and, if there is time, he would like to play a few songs with them as well.

PETE WRIGHT (Drums/Vocals)

"Pete the Beat" joined the band in 1995 and is accredited as one of the best rock drummers in the Southern Counties; besides which, he is probably one of the few drummers you can call a musician! (He also plays guitar.)

Pete's gigging prowess is envied by many much older musicians and his experience in clubs and halls around several counties is a great asset to the band - prior to Standing Room Only, Pete played in a popular band called "Hot Property" which was well known on the club etc. circuit.

JANE "Bluebelle" BISHOP

Bluebelle

For one so young, Jane is a true showbiz veteran with more gigs notched-up than Mick Jagger. As her handle suggests, amongst her varied career, she spent four years as a pro dancer at the prestigious Paris Lido and dancing remains a great passion. Her career has taken her all over the world involving modelling, dancing, singing and acting—her talents are boundless. At almost six –feet tall, and legs longer than Naomi’s, her presence on stage is, to say the least, very impressive and match her vocals and dancing. To sum up-brainy, beautiful and very talented. Bitch.

CAROLINE ("Caz") WINTERTON

Caz

Posh name - classy bird. Gorgeous, talented and the undisputed "saucy spice" of the band .Caz cut her musical teeth on the karaoke circuit before going for the real thing with SRO in mid-1999.A great pleasure to watch and listen to, her powerful vocals and sexy moves have brought a great deal of pleasure to both the band and the audiences in equal measure. She looks to be a long-term band member since, following the death of her python, it looks most unlikely that she will be returning to her original career of exotic dancing and, for now ,she has to make–do with a feather boa!

A truly gifted chic with the most fantastic personality—on and off stage—Caz adds a huge helping of 'pzaazz' to the band’s front-line.
